#WeWillBeHeard
Amnesty Ireland, along with 26 publicly-funded bodies, signed an extraordinary letter calling on media and politicians to ‘no longer provide legitimate representation to groups’ like ours speaking up about women’s rights.
Our response to this attempt to disenfranchise us was to mobilise women around the world to speak up with us. We trended in Ireland, the UK, and America.
All over the world, women are called ‘transphobic’ for defending their rights. We need to have a grown-up conversation about the impact of gender ideology on women and children. We will not be silenced.
Join our campaign by using our evergreen hashtag, #WeWillBeHeard. [Read more]
OUR VISION
We will empower the people of Ireland to discuss how the Gender Recognition Act impacts everyday life.
We need to have a grown-up conversation about the influence of gender identity politics on practice and policy.
We will centre women and children in all we do.
JOIN US
We are a group of volunteers. Our members include students, single mums, hospital consultants, sociologists, teachers, psychotherapists, researchers, lawyers, lesbians, parents, non-parents, nationals, non-nationals and Irish diaspora – people of all ages and backgrounds.
We are not professional activists. We are ordinary people. Some of us have experience of activism from the Repeal campaign and water charges protest. However, most do not.
We share deep concern at what is unfolding in Ireland in the name of Gender Ideology, and we are speaking up.
