The Countess wrote to The Association for Lactation Consultants Ireland (ACLI) expressing our concerns over the appearance of Jacob Englesman at the Galway conference in October.
Englesman’s views are deeply troubling. The use of an infant for the benefit of an adult, as described by Mr Englesman, constitutes a breach of adult responsibility, and is a form of abuse.
“In one presentation, Mr Englesman referred to “lactation for kinksters” a term commonly associated with fetishist sexual practices.”
In his book “Lactation for the rest of us” he suggested that some men may seek to induce lactation to experience “gender euphoria” or for reasons including “curiosity, fun, or sexual gratification.”
ACLI should consider whether this is in the best interest of babies & mothers.
